Soviet Medal for Distinction in Guarding the State Border of the USSR
With document awarded to Anatoly Mikhailovich Gasovskikh (Анатолий Михайлович Гасовских)
Made of silver plated nickel. It measures 32.12 mm in width and 2.78 mm in thickness. The height of the medal is 37.07 mm including the eyelet and it weighs 16.7 gram without its suspension.
The medal is in excellent condition with crisp details, even on the higher laying parts like the soldier’s face. Both sides show an appealing dark patina to the silver plating and the medal comes with its time period brass suspension and old ribbon. Its connection ring has not been cut.
The document is in excellent condition too with all pages firmly attached. It is dated 27 October 1966 and numbered 006377
Awarded to K.G.B. Border Troops personnel for military or other actions displaying excellence in guarding the Soviet borders.
