Soviet Medal for Combat Merit #64877
Awarded to Sr. Lieutenant of the intendant corps Aleksander Pavlovich Kipreev (Александр Павлович Кипреев)

Made of solid silver and red lacquer. Measures 32.33 mm in diameter and 2.75 mm in thickness. The height of the medal is 36.82 mm and its eyelet is 4.56 mm in width. The medal weighs 23.3 gram without its suspension and 31.3 gram with the suspension but without the nut. The suspension measures 32.06 mm at its widest point.
The medal is in a nice, above average condition with medium overall wear. There are several small dings and scratches but nothing distracting from the overall appeal of the medal. Most details are still visible but the red lacquer filling the lettering is mostly gone. The brass suspension is original as is the screw, the nut, the plate holding the ribbon and the screw plate tightening it all up. Its brass connection ring is is original as well and has not been cut.

CITATION:
Comrade KIPREEV has been in the medical battalion since September 1941. In his work as the finance book keeper, he proved himself as a determined and persistent serviceman of our glorious RKKA.
He is a devoted son of our Motherland and has been participating in the Patriotic war since 22 June 1941.
During the Patriotic war, as an active Komsomol activist, he first became a candidate to the VKP(b) membership, and later became full VKP(b) member.
Hi is reliable in his work and respected among the medical battalion troops. Many times his work was inspected by the commissions of the front and army headquarters. Every time only with good reviews. He has received a number of commendations form the superiors.
Thanks to his effort, diligence, and willingness to dedicate all his life to the task, he achieved the following results:
1. Advocated for personnel to safe keep the money at the state bank – 75.000 rubles.
2. Practically all the battalion personnel are the state bank investors.
3. Achieved 100% cashless payments between the division finance organisations; Since 01.01.1942, he never requested any cash from the financial organisations. In total, there were conducted cashless payments for 295.000 rubles.
4. Advocated for personnel to donate to the war fund of the country – 29.000 rubles.
5. Personnel bought war bonds of 1942 issue – 48.500 rubles, which is 180% of the monthly battalion personnel salary and 100% of servicemen participated in it. The total sum was registered and was matured ahead of the time and all the resulting maturity was donated to the war fund of the country.
6. The payment to the personnel are conducted in a neatly orderly fashion.
7. The book keeping: uniform, secret provision, food, equipment, medical, revisions – all are in exemplary order. All the reports are delivered properly and in time.
He is politically educated, morally reliable, disciplined officer. For his selfless effort, he deserves a state award – order “Red Star”.
