Variation with a U-shaped eyelet
Made of solid silver and lacquer. Measures 32.17 mm in diameter and 2.32 mm in thickness. The height of the medal is 37.33 mm including the eyelet and it weighs 18.3 gram without its suspension.
In superb condition with relatively few small dings and scratches. Its details are perfect and crisp and all the lacquer is present although discolored over time. Its connection ring has not been cut and both sides show an appealing medium patina. The medal comes with its time period brass suspension and old ribbon.
This military medal awarded for “combat action resulting in a military success”; “courageous defence of the state borders”; or “successful military and political training and preparation”. Also awarded for 10 years of service prior to the creation of the long service awards.
