To deputy chief of staff of the 3rd Guards ground assault
aviation corps: Colonel Anton Lukich Sokolovsky (Антон Лукич Соколовский)
Awarded in February 1941
Made of solid silver. Measures 32.09 mm in diameter, 2.93 mm in thickness and 36.61 mm in height including. Its eyelet is 5.08 mm wide and the medal weighs 23.5 grams without its suspension. The minimum known serial number is 9 and the maximum is 30308.
The medal is in excellent, well above average condition with several small dings and scratches on both sides but all details perfectly crisp. The enamels filling the lettering is all present without repairs or flaking. Its late 1943 pentagon suspension is a replacement for the old rectangular one as new 1943 regulations of wearing soviet awards dictated.
