For suppressing an enemy artillery battery, which was delivering direct fire over the ice covered lake and thus, didn’t allow any movement across it. He suppressed the fire of 2 enemy machine gun positions and killed up to 12 German soldiers
Made of solid silver. It measures 37.42 mm in diameter and 42.38 mm in height (including the eyelet) and it weighs 26.5 grams without its suspension.
The medal is in a worn, about average condition for in this serial number range. Its details are mostly visible and both sides show a medium dark patina. Almost all the red lacquer filling the letters is gone and its connection ring has not been cut. The steel suspension and old ribbon are time period to the medal and its stickpin fully functional.

Guards Junior Sergeant Bezsonny Viktor Pavlovich, gunner of 120 mm mortar battery, who during the engagement against the German invaders near the lake Sviblo, with well placed fire of his mortar, he suppressed an enemy artillery battery, which was delivering direct fire over the ice covered lake and thus, didn’t allow any movement across it. In the battle for the village of Ivashkovo, he suppressed the fire of 2 enemy machine gun positions on the hill and dispersed up to 12 German soldiers.
