Made of solid silver and red lacquer. The medal for Bravery measures 37.19 mm in diameter and 42.24 mm in height (including the eyelet) and it weighs 28.3 gram without its suspension.
In pristine, well above average condition with its details perfectly crisp and a light patina to the silver on both sides. Almost all of the original red lacquer is still present and its connection ring has not been cut. The double layer steel suspension is time period to the medal.
Scarce in this condition, hard to upgrade!
Short and specific description of the personal combat feat or merit:
The Sergeant of the 16th Assault Engineer-Sapper Brigade Inna Borisovna Chisheiko, participant in the Patriotic War since May 1942, assigned to the Command of Engineering Troops of the Central Group.
During her service as a member of the Communications Group of the Engineering Headquarters, she showed herself as a fearless patriot, conscientiously fulfilling command assignments and her duty to the Motherland.
During offensive operations, her work clearly organized the communication and transmission of combat orders to the engineering units.
For her conscientious, selfless and precise work, comrade Chisheiko is worthy of the state award the medal “For Combat Merit” [later upgraded to a Medal for Bravery].
