Short translation of the citation:

Guards intendant III rank DIKHTYARENKO Fedor Semyonovich 1907
Aide to the chief of staff responsible for personnel accounting,
74 Guards rifle regiment, 27 Guards rifle division.
Recommendation for order “RED STAR”:

In a combat engagement on 10 January 1943 near the villages Baburkino and Novaya Nadezhda, comrade DIKHTYARENKO proved himself as a brave and resourceful officer. Disregarding mortal danger under enemy fire, he ventured out to the rifle company positions and and assisted the commanders in the field in their missions. At the request of the higher commanders, he gathered precise information on available active personnel and equipment at any times of the day and in any circumstances. This enabled the commanders to develop and issue specific and precise combat objectives for defeat of the enemy. On 27 January 1943, he was among the troops of the 1st Guards rifle battalion and participated with them in defence against an enemy counter attack. He personally eliminated 3 Hitlerites, which were sneaking toward a mortar company position. He deserves to be bestowed with order “RED STAR”.
