GTO Badge (Ready for Labor and Defense) #72093 (1936-1940)
This badge is made of solid silver and enamels. The main medallion measures 36.07 mm in height and 29.98 mm in width (op top). The complete badge without screwplate weighs 13.1 grams. The three silver hallmarks and its serial number can be found on its reverse.
The badge is in excellent, above average condition with most details perfectly visible. The enamels are well preserved and without repairs and show a small chip on the 3 o’clock ray of the center star only. The chain, suspension and screwplate are original to the badge and both sides show an appealing patina. Unfortunately the stickpin on its reverse has broken off but the badge’s functionality is not affected since it still can be attached with the screw and screwplate.
