Excellent Sniper Badge
First variation with separately attached hammer & sickle ca. 1942
Made of brass and enamels. Measures 44.76 mm in height, 36.26 mm in width and it weighs 14.5 grams without its screwplate.
The badge is in outstanding, well above average condition considering it is an early wartime piece. Its details are perfectly crisp and even the raised parts show light wear only. The hammer and sickle is original to the badge and firmly affixed. The red and white enamels are extremely well preserved without repairs, chipping or flaking. Its screw has not been shortened and the badge comes with its correct and well fitted screwplate.
Very rare and desirable piece in outstanding condition!
