Soviet Excellent Sapper Badge
First variation
Made of brass and enamels. It measures 48.40 mm in height, 37.34 mm in width and it weighs 18.0 grams without its screwplate.
The badge is in excellent, above average condition with most details still present. The red and white enamels are well preserved and only shows some minor contact marks. There have been no repairs and its screw is full length. The ‘ShMZ NKPS’ marked screwplate is original to the badge and fits well. The awardee made a nice blue intermediate piece which he placed between the badge and the screwplate. This piece is included in this lot.
