Brief and specific description of the personal feat or merits (Order of the Red Star)

He has been working as the quartermaster of the 591th separate signals battalion since November 1944. He is a responsible worker. During the offensive operations launched from the Sandomierz bridgehead and until the town Breslau, comrade PODLUZHNIJ proved himself as a courageous and proactive junior commander. Thanks to his exceptional care, the signals battalion personnel never had any disruption with food supplies during the whole combat period. During the battle for Breslau, comrade PODLUZHNIJ was exciting the Army Council order for stocking the supplies: grain, cattle, other food stuff. He is a former Navy sailor, who had to retire due to sustained wounds to the service in the ground troops. But on the soil, he also exhibited examples of courage and bravery.
