This Badge for Excellence in the Navy is made of solid silver and enamels. The badge measures 28.34 mm in height, 23.73 mm in width and weighs 7.6 grams without its screwplate. Its serial number #8782 and mintmark ‘MD’ can be found on the bottom of its reverse.
The badge is in excellent, well above average condition with perfect details. The red, white and blue enamels are extremely well preserved without flaking and dings. The badge includes its original rare and well fitted screwplate.
