Order of the Badge of Honor #14779

Made of silver and enamels. Measures 46.48 mm in height, 33.33 mm in width and it weighs 36.5 grams without its screwplate. The mint mark ‘Mondvor’ can be found underneath the screwpost as well as its serial number and ‘makers mark’ KP.

In overall nice condition apart from an alteration. The beautiful red enamels are extremely well preserved without chipping, repairs or scratching. Its details are perfectly crisp and only show minor wear; even the higher laying parts such as the faces of the man and woman are still well defined. Both sides show an appealing toning to the silver The seperately attached letters ‘CCCP’ are authentic to the order and the piece comes with a well fitted silver screwplate.

This order was converted officially by the mint and a suspension device was attached to comply with the 1943 regulations on wearing Soviet awards. Later, somebody reconverted the order back to a screwback by removing the suspension device. An example of what the order originally looked like before the re-conversion can be found in the picture gallery (final image)
