Order for Service to the Homeland in the Armed Forces of the USSR 3rd class #139641
Made of silver and enamels. Measures 58.01 mm in width, 57.97 mm in height and weighs 62.6 grams without its screwplate. The mint mark “Monjetnij dvor” is located above the screw post in one curved line and the serial number “139641” is positioned at the bottom of its reverse. The minimum known serial number awarded is 0043, the maximum is 140290.
In near mint condition with all details crisp and few contact marks to the silver only. The blue and white enamels are flawless without repairs or chipping. All the blackening to the missiles, wings and the anchor is still present. Its nut fits perfectly well and its screw has not been shortened.
The Order “For Service to the Homeland in the Armed Forces of the USSR” was awarded to soldiers of the Soviet Army, Navy, of Border or Internal Troops: for achievements in combat and political training, for maintaining high combat readiness and developing new military equipment; for high performance in service; for the successful fulfillment of special command tasks; for courage and dedication displayed during the performance of military duties; for other services to the nation while serving in the Armed Forces.
