Awarded to Colonel Vladimir Egorovich Moiseev (Владимир Егорович Моисеев)
For significant achievements in Afghanistan where he constructed 52 airplane shelters, storage depots, and an ammunition depot. On 29 July 1988, under heavy enemy fire at Kandahar airbase, he successfully commanded the unloading of ammunition and firefighting. From 12-20 August 1988, during an enemy attack at Bagram air base, he organized the relocation and protection of aircraft, preventing damage

Order for Service to the Homeland in the Armed Forces of the USSR 3rd class #104365 with Order Booklet
Made of silver and enamels. Measures 57.95 mm in width, 57.92 mm in height and weighs 63.3 grams without its screwplate. The mint mark “Monjetnij dvor” is located above the screw post in one curved line and the serial number “104365 ” is positioned at the bottom of its reverse. The minimum known serial number awarded is 0043, the maximum is 140290.
In excellent condition with all details crisp and an appealing patina on both sides. The blue and white enamels are flawless without repairs or chipping. The silver base of the order shows some contact marks and small dings but none distracting from its overall appearance. Its screw has not been shortened and the order comes with its well fitted and correct screwplate.
Its accompanying document is in equally nice condition and mentions this order only.

Brief, concrete description of his feat of arms or achievements:
He has been stationed in the Republic Afghanistan since February 1988. He is well educated, highly professionally trained officer. He provides constant support to his liaisons in improving flow of supplies and technical support to sustain combat aviation operation. He conducts constant efficient audit and governance of construction activities building military barracks, officer quarters, and reconstructing airfields. There has been raised 52 airplane shelters, storage depots with total capacity of 1000 tons, an ammunition depot with capacity of 100 railway wagons, which all allowed to stock supplies for 6 months of operations for the airforce. On 29 July 1988, under intensive enemy mortar and rocket fire at the Kandahar airbase, he commanded unloading of ammunitions and equipment and firefighting activities. During 12-20 August 1988, during enemy fire attack at the Bagram air base, he organised relocation and protection of the aircrafts, its guarding and security, which prevented damage to the aircrafts. He is morally reliable. He executes his military and international duty with honour and dignity. He properly understands the policy of the Communist party USSR and The Soviet governments.
