Soviet Order for Service to the Homeland in the Armed Forces of the USSR 2nd class #3483
Awarded to Navy Lieutenant Commander Yuri Petrovich Rybak. (Юрий Петрович Рыбак)
Made of silver and enamels. Measurements; 57.33 mm in width; 57.23 mm in height and it weighs 64.1 grams. The mint mark “Monjetnij dvor” is located above the screw post in one curved line and the serial number “3483” is positioned at the bottom of its reverse. The minimum known serial number awarded is 6, the maximum is 3483. This range suggests a much higher number than the only 589 which were actually awarded!
This original order is in excellent condition with all details crisp. The blue and white enamels are flawless and the orders shows an attractive patina on both sides. The gold plating is perfectly visible and there have been no repairs. Its screw is full length and the order comes with its time period nut.
Among the rarest of Soviet awards!
Also worth noticing: according to several sources, among which mondvor.narod, this is the highest number awarded!
