Medal for the Victory over Japan
Variation 1a with a separately soldered eyelet and a curved diagonal line in the ‘4’ on its reverse
Made out of gold plated brass. Measures 32.36 mm in width, 37.75 mm in height including its eyelet and weighs 17.4 grams without its suspension.
In decent overall condition with medium to strong wear to the raised parts and a fair amount of details still visible. The gold plating has mostly worn off and the medal comes with its time period double layer suspension.
Awarded to Soviet service personnel of the 1st and 2nd Far East Trans-Baikal Fronts, Pacific Fleet and Amur River Flotilla who were active between 8 August and 23 August 1945.
