Medal for the Victory over Germany in the Great Patriotic War 1941–1945
Variation 2b with a U-shaped eyelet struck as part of the medal and the word ‘войне’ on its reverse further apart from the curved text ‘Германией’
Made of brass. Measures 32.10 mm in diameter, 36.21 mm in height including its eyelet and weighs 16.6 grams without its suspension.
In excellent condition with crisp details, few traces of wear and almost all of the original luster still present. It comes with a late soviet aluminium suspension.
Awarded to Soviet service personnel who were on active service during The Great Patriotic War (Military service of 3 months or civil service of 6 months). Also awarded to some allied forces such as the post 9 September 1944 Bulgarian Armed Forces.
