Medal for the Victory over Germany in the Great Patriotic War 1941–1945
Variation 2a with its U-shaped eyelet struck as part of the medal and the word ‘войне’ on its reverse close by the curved text ‘Германией’
Made of brass. Measures 32.13 mm in diameter, 37.35 mm in height and weighs 17.1 grams without its suspension.
In nice condition with most details visible and medium overall wear. The medal shows several small dings and scratches but much of the original luster still present. The medal comes with a late Soviet aluminium suspension.
Probably the hardest sub-variation to findÂ
Awarded to Soviet service personnel who were on active service during The Great Patriotic War (Military service of 3 months or civil service of 6 months). Also awarded to some allied forces such as the post 9 September 1944 Bulgarian Armed Forces.
