Medal for the Liberation of Warsaw
Variation 1 with a separately soldered eyelet
Made of god brass. It measures 32.25 in diameter, 37.18 mm in height including its eyelet and weighs 17.7 grams without its suspension.
The medal is in nice condition with crisp details and a fair amount of its original gold-like luster still present. Both sides show few dings and scratches and light overall wear. The medal comes with its time period double layer suspension.
Awarded to Soviet service personnel; ‘who took part in the liberation of Warsaw between the 14 and 17 January 1945’.
