Medal for the Liberation of Warsaw
Variation 2 with its eyelet struck as part of the medal
Made of gold plated brass. Measures 32.18 in diameter, 37.02 mm in height and weighs 17.0 grams without its suspension.
The medal is in great condition with crisp details and a fair amount of gold plating still present. The medal shows light to medium overall wear and several tiny dings and scratches; none distracting fro its overall appeal. Its double layer suspension is time period to the medal and its obverse shows corrosion spots.
To Soviet service personnel; ‘who took part in the liberation of Warsaw between the 14 and 17 January 1945’.
