Medal for the Liberation of Prague

Variation 1b with a separately soldiered eyelet and better defined details on the rays and wreath 

Made of brass. Measures 32.14 mm in width, 37.56 mm in height including the eyelet and it weighs 17.0 gram without its suspension.

In nice condition with a small amount of the original luster still present. There are several dings and scratches which gives it a nice ‘combat look’ while still showing lots of detail. The double layer suspension is time period to the medal.

Awarded to Soviet service personnel who took part in the liberation of Prague between the 3 and 9 May 1945.
