Soviet medal for the Liberation of Prague
Variation 1b with a separately soldered eyelet and more detailed rays and wreath on its obverse
Made of gilded brass. Measures 32.15 mm in width, 37.54 mm in height including the eyelet and it weighs 17.3 gram without its suspension.
The is in excellent condition with all details visible and light to medium overall wear. There are several small dings and scratches on both sides but none distracting from the overall appeal of the medal. Some of the gold plating is still present and the steel, double layer suspension is time period to the medal.
Awarded to Soviet service personnel who took part in the liberation of Prague between the 3 and 9 May 1945.Â
