Medal for the Liberation of Prague
Variation 1a with a separately soldered eyelet and less detailed rays and wreath on the obverse of the medal
Made of brass. Measures 32.17 mm in width, 37.74 mm in height including the eyelet and it weighs 17.4 grams without suspension.
The medal is in excellent, average condition with light to medium overall wear and most details are still visible. A fair amount of the original luster is still present and both sides show relatively few dings and scratches. The double layer steel suspension is time period to the medal.
Awarded to Soviet service personnel who took part in the liberation of Prague between the 3 and 9 May 1945.
