Medal for the Liberation of Prague

Variation 1b with a separately soldiered eyelet and better defined details on its rays and wreath 

Made of brass. Measures 32.09 mm in width, 37.65 mm in height including the eyelet and it weighs 16.9 grams without its suspension.

In worn condition, retaining a fair amount of its original luster. Both sides have several dings and scratches, with significant wear on the raised areas of its obverse, giving it a real combat-worn appearance. The double-layer brass suspension and ribbon are original to the time period of the medal.

Awarded to Soviet service personnel who took part in the liberation of Prague between the 3 and 9 May 1945.
