Medal for the Liberation of Belgrade
Variation 2 with an U-shaped Eyelet
Awarded to Private Nikolaj Ivanovich Sorokopud (Николай Иванович Сорокопуд)
Made of gilded brass. Measures 32.05 mm in width, 37.01 mm in height including its eyelet and it weighs 16.9 grams without its suspension.
This medal is in excellent condition with most gold plating still present. Most details are still crisp even the higher laying parts like the wreath shows light wear only. There are few dings and contact marks only and its double layer steel suspension is time period to the medal as is its ribbon.
Its accompanying document is dated 5 February 1946 and numbered A 071396. It is in problem free condition and named to Private Nikolaj Ivanovich Sorokopud (Николай Иванович Сорокопуд)
Awarded to Soviet service personnel who took part in the liberation of Belgrade between 29 September and 22 October 1944.
