Medal for the Defense of the Caucasus variation 1

Comes with its document

This medal for the Defense of the Caucasus is made of gold plated brass. The medal measures 32.05 mm in diameter, 36.91 mm in height and weighs 17.1 gram without its suspension.

This medal is in excellent condition. Both sides shows light wear only and most details are still visible. A fair amount of gold plating is still present on its reverse and the medal comes with its original double layer suspension and old ribbon. Its connection ring has been cut.

Its accompanying document is dated 6 September 1945 and is numbered C 023543

Awarded to all Soviet military and civilians who participated in the defense of the Caucasus region during WW2 between July 1942 and 9 October 1943.
