Medal for the Defense of the Caucasus

Variation 2 with a U-shaped eyelet struck as part of the medal

Made of brass. The medal measures 32.11 mm in diameter, 37.13 mm in height and weighs 17.1 gram without its suspension.

In outstanding condition with light overall wear. All details are perfectly crisp and almost all of the original the gold-like luster is still present on both sides. The brass suspension is time period to the medal as is it ribbon.

Hard to upgrade

Awarded to all Soviet military and civilians who participated in the defence of the Caucasus region during WW2 between July 1942 and 9 October 1943.
