Medal for the Defense of the Caucasus variation 1
Scarce sub-variation with the soldiers on the tank carrying rifles
Made of gold plated brass. The medal measures 32.01 mm in diameter, 37.80 mm in height and weighs 16.8 gram without its suspension.
This medal is in nice condition with medium wear. There are several small dings and scratches but most details on both sides are visible and a substantial part of the gold plating is still present. The double layer brass suspension is original to the medal as is the ribbon.
Hard to find!
Awarded to all Soviet military and civilians who participated in the defense of the Caucasus region during WW2 between July 1942 and 9 October 1943.Â
