Medal for the Defense of the Caucasus
Variation 1 with a separately soldered eyelet
Made of plated brass. The medal measures 32.04 mm in diameter, 37.25 mm in height including its eyelet and weighs 16.8 grams without its suspension.
This medal is in nice condition with its details mostly visible on both sides. Its reverse shows several small dings and scratches and medium wear to raised lettering and hammer and sickle. The double layer suspension is time period to the medal and its connection ring has been not been cut.
Awarded to all Soviet military and civilians who participated in the defense of the Caucasus region during WW2 between July 1942 and 9 October 1943.Â
