Variation 2 with a U-shaped eyelet struck as part of the medal

Made of brass. The medal measures 32.25 mm in diameter, 36.96 mm in height and weighs 17.1 grams without its suspension.

Is in excellent, well above average condition with light overall wear. All details are crisp and almost all original luster still present. The brass suspension is time period to the medal.

Hard to upgrade

Awarded to all Soviet military and civilians who participated in the defence of the Caucasus region during WW2 between July 1942 and 9 October 1943.
