Medal for the Defense of the Caucasus variation 1
Made of gold plated brass. The medal measures 32.26 mm in diameter, 37304 mm in height and weighs 17.0 gram without its suspension.
This medal is in excellent condition with its details mostly visible and much gold plating still present. Its reverse shows more wear and has several small dings and scratches. The double layer suspension is time period to the medal and its connection ring has been cut.
Awarded to all Soviet military and civilians who participated in the defense of the Caucasus region during WW2 between July 1942 and 9 October 1943.Â
