Medal for the Defense of the Caucasus variation 1
Scarce sub-variation with the soldiers on the tank carrying rifles
Made of brass. The medal measures 32.32 mm in diameter, 37.94 mm in height including its eyelet and weighs 16.7 gram without its suspension.
This medal is in excellent condition with light to medium overall wear. There are several small dings and scratches on both sides but its details are still visible. The double layer suspension is time period to the medal as is its ribbon. Its connection ring has been cut.
Scarce less seen sub-variation
Awarded to all Soviet military and civilians who participated in the defense of the Caucasus region during WW2 between July 1942 and 9 October 1943.Â
