Medal for the Defense of Stalingrad WW2
Variation 1 with a separately soldered eyelet
Made of gilded brass. Measures 32.01 mm in width, 37.46 mm in height including the eyelet and weighs 15.7 grams without its suspension.
This medal is in decent but worn condition. Both sides show many dings and scratches, most noticeable on its reverse. Many details have worn off although the soldiers and lettering are still perfectly visible. The medal comes with a double layer steel suspension and old ribbon. Its connection ring has not been cut.
Awarded to all Soviet military and civilians who participated in the defense of Stalingrad between July and November 1942.
