Variation 1 with a separately soldered eyeletĀ
Made of gilded brass. Measures 32.08 mm in width, 36.99 mm in height including the eyelet and weighs 16.7 grams without its suspension.Ā
This medal is in nice condition with medium overall wear and a some of the gold plating still present although most is worn off. Both sides show several dings, scratches and pitting but most details remain visible. The medal comes with a double layer steel suspension and its connection ring has been cut.
Awarded to all Soviet military and civilians who participated in the defense of Stalingrad between July and November 1942.
