Soviet Medal for the Defense of Sevastopol Variation 1b-1 WW2
Variation with a raised rim on its obverse and a larger distance between the ends of the naval cap tally
Made of gilded brass. Measures 32.14 mm in width, 37.02 mm in height including its eyelet and it weighs 16.1 grams without its suspension.
This original medal is in decent but worn condition. There are several dings and scratches and some details on the faces are worn off although the lettering is perfectly visible. The double layer suspension is time period to the medal and there have been no repairs. Its connection ring has been cut.

This medal was awarded to all participants in the defense of Sevastopol. Both to soldiers and civilians, who took part in the defense of Sevastopol during its siege by German forces.
