Soviet Medal for the Defense of Sevastopol Variation 1b-1 WW2
Variation with a raised rim on its obverse and a larger distance between the ends of the naval cap tally
Made of gilded brass. Measures 32.08 mm in width, 37.05 mm in height including its eyelet and it weighs 16.1 grams without its suspension.
This original medal is in a nice, about average condition with medium wear on both sides. There are several small dings and scratches but most details are visible. A fair amount of the gold plating is still present and the double layer suspension is time period to the medal. Its connection ring has not been cut and its ribbon appears to be old.

This medal was awarded to all participants in the defense of Sevastopol. Both to soldiers and civilians, who took part in the defense of Sevastopol during its siege by German forces.
