Medal for the Defense of Sevastopol WW2
Variation with a raised rim on its obverse and a larger distance between the ends of the naval cap tally
Made of brass. Measures 32.09 mm in width, 37.00 mm in height including the eyelet and it weighs 15.8 grams without its suspension.
This original medal is in excellent, well above average condition. There are relatively few dings and scratches and all details are crisp on both sides. A fair amount of the original luster is still present on both sides. The double layer steel suspension and ribbon are time period to the medal and its connection ring has not been cut.
This medal was awarded to all participants in the defense of Sevastopol. Both to soldiers and civilians, who took part in the defense of Sevastopol during its siege by German forces.
