Soviet Medal for the Defense of Odessa Variation 1 WW2
Made of gilded brass. Measures 32.07 mm in width, 36.81 mm in height including its eyelet and it weighs 16.4 gram without its suspension.
This medal is in decent condition with medium to strong wear on its obverse. There are several small dings and scratches and especially the higher laying parts like the soldiers and the lighthouse lack some details. Its reverse is in better condition and clearly shows the edges of the lettering. The double layer suspension is time period to the medal and its connection ring has been cut.
Not in the best possible condition but still original and with great combat appearance
This medal was awarded to all participants in the defence of Odessa. Both to soldiers and civilians, who took part in the defence of Odessa during its siege by German forces.
