Medal for the Defense of Moscow
Variation 1 with a separately attached eyelet
Made of gold plated brass. Measures 32.26 mm in diameter, 37.57 mm in height including its eyelet and weighs 17.0 grams without its suspension.
In excellent condition with crisp details on both sides. Much of the original gold plating is still visible. Its double layer steel suspension and ribbon are time period to the medal and its connection ring has not been cut.
Awarded to all Soviet military and civilians who participated in the defence of Moscow between 19 October 1941 and 25 January 1942.
