Medal for the Defense of Kiev
Made out of gold plated brass. Measures 32.07 mm in width, 37.06 mm in height including its eyelet and weighs 16.4 grams without its suspension.
The medal is in great condition with perfect details and few traces of wear on either side. The gold plating is fully present and its suspension is time period to the medal.
Hard to upgrade
The Medal “For the Defence of Kiev” was awarded to all participants in the defence of the Hero-City of Kiev – Soviet Army soldiers and troops of the former NKVD, as well as all the workers who participated in the defense of Kiev in the ranks of the militia, in the construction of fortifications, who worked in factories serving the needs of the front, members of the Kiev underground and partisans who fought against the enemy near Kiev.
