WW2 variation 1b with a raised rim on its reverse 

This medal for the Capture of Budapest is made out of gold plated brass. Measurements; 32.23 mm in diameter; 17.2 grams in weight (not including its suspension).

The medal is in excellent condition with crisp details and most gold plating present. The brass, double layer suspension is time period to the medal.

Awarded to Soviet service personnel who took part in the battle of Budapest between 20 December 1944 and 15 February 1945.
