Soviet medal for the Capture of Budapest
WW2 variation 1a without a raised rim on its reverseÂ
Made out of gold plated brass. It measures 32.08 mm in diameter, 37.68 mm in height including its eyelet and the medal weighs 15.8 gram without its suspension.
This medal for the Capture of Budapest is in nice but worn condition with a fair amount of gold plating present. There are several small dings and scratches and some details on the higher laying parts like the bottom leaves are worn off. Still, a nice and early piece with its original double layer suspension and old ribbon.
Awarded to Soviet service personnel who took part in the battle of Budapest between 20 December 1944 and 15 February 1945.
