Soviet Medal for the Capture of Berlin variation 1
Made of gilded brass. Measures 32.36 mm in width, 37.52 mm in height, including the eyelet and it weighs 17.1 gram without its suspension.
This medal is in excellent condition with most gold plating present. The details are all visible and there are relatively few dings and scratches. The double layer suspension is time period to the medal.
The Medal “For the Capture of Berlin” was awarded to soldiers of the Red Army, Navy, and troops of the NKVD, direct participants of the assault and capture of the city as well as to the organizers and leaders of combat operations in the capture of this city.
