Less seen variation with a round eyelet struck as part of the medal
Made of brass. Measures 32.18 mm in width, 37.41 mm in height including its eyelet and it weighs 16.7 grams without its suspension.
This medal is in excellent condition with its details crisp and much of the original gold luster still present. Both sides show light wear and virtually no dings and scratches. The brass suspension and ribbon are time period to the medal.
The Medal “For the Capture of Berlin” was awarded to soldiers of the Red Army, Navy, and troops of the NKVD, direct participants of the assault and capture of the city as well as to the organizers and leaders of combat operations in the capture of this city.
