Medal for the 20th Anniversary of the RKKA with document and pictures
Awarded to Captain Iosif Stepanovich Dzvigai (Иосиф Степанович Дзвигай)
Made of solid silver and enamels. Measures 32.15 mm in diameter, 35.80 mm in height (including the eyelet) and is 3.75 mm in thickness. The medal weighs 24.1 grams without its suspension.
In excellent, above average condition with light overall wear and most details crisp. The soldier’s eyes, fingers and rifle for example, are all perfectly visible. The enamels are without repairs or chipping and show some dings and contact marks only. Its suspension is a replacement for the old rectangular one which was customary to do after new 1943 regulations on wearing awards. The brass connection ring is possibly original to the old suspension.
Its accompanying document is in excellent condition and is numbered 026421 and dated 11 June 1938. It contains an original image of Capt. Dzvigai
Also present are 4 original images of Dzvigai (5 including the one in the booklet). One of them is dated ‘Kiev 1936’
