Soviet Medal for the 20th Anniversary of the RKKA 1938
This XX year RKKA medal is made of solid silver and enamels. Measures 32.33 mm in diameter, 35.73 mm in height including the eyelet and it weighs 24.3 gram without its suspension.
In nice, above average condition with all details present. Even the higher laying parts on its reverse show light wear only and the soldier’s fingers and the rifle are all visible. The enamel shows several minor superficial dings, scratches and flaking but none penetrating the silver or distracting from the overall appeal of the medal. Its suspension is time period to the medal and its old brass connection ring has not been cut.
