Medal for Distinguished Military Service 2nd class
Made of German silver and lacquer. The medal measures 36.88 mm in width, 40.90 mm in height including the eyelet and weighs 17.0 grams without its suspension.
The medal is in good overall condition with crisp details and all of the original lacquer present. It shows a small corrosion spot in the top left side. The medal comes with its original suspension and screwplate and its screw has been shortened by a few millimeters for more comfortable wear.
Awarded to soldiers of the Soviet Army, Navy, border and internal troops: for excellent performance in combat and political training; for special distinction in exercises and manoeuvres in combat service and combat duty; for bravery, selflessness, and other services, shown during military service.
