Less common variation with the screwpost soldered to the suspension, and the star on the obverse separately attached
Made of gold plated brass and lacquer. The medal measures 36.88 mm in width, 40.86 mm in height, including the eyelet and it weighs 16.6 grams without its suspension.
The medal is in nice condition with crisp details and much gold plating present. It shows light wear to the raised areas on its obverse and medium wear on its reverse. The transparent lacquer surrounding the soldier is all present and its screwpost has been shortened by a few millimeters.
Awarded to soldiers of the Soviet Army, Navy, border and internal troops: for excellent performance in combat and political training; for special distinction in exercises and manoeuvres in combat service and combat duty; for bravery, selflessness, and other services, shown during military service.
