Medal for Distinction in Guarding the State Border
Post Soviet Issue without the letters ‘CCCP’ on its reverse (1992-1994)
Made of nickel. It measures 32.18 mm in width and 2.83 mm in thickness. The height of the medal is 37.14 mm including its eyelet and it weighs 16.9 grams without its suspension.
The medal is in a great, far above average condition with crisp details on even the higher laying parts like the soldier’s face. There are few minor dings and scratches and its suspension is time period to the medal. Its connection ring has been cut.
Awarded to K.G.B. Border Troops personnel for military or other actions displaying excellence in guarding the borders of the Russian Federation.
